As the winter chill settles in, many of us look forward to homes filled with warmth, laughter, and the magic of the holiday season. But for some children, youth, and families connected to Peel Children’s Aid Society (Peel CAS), this time of year can feel very different.
We invite you to join the Peel Children's Aid Foundation's Spirit of Giving campaign. Help us bring joy to families facing challenges and uncertainty that many of us may never have to imagine. Whether you choose to make an online donation, host an event, start a fundraising page, or donate gift cards, your support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of thousands of children, youth, and families right here in our community.
Your participation today will support critical programs, necessities, and equal opportunities that receive little to no government funding. Your contribution will work towards empowering young people to achieve their dreams and providing families with the tools they need to build bright futures.
It’s a community responsibility to look after one another. Child welfare research indicates that unemployment, lack of housing, and food insecurity play an important role in family crises that lead to Peel Children’s Aid Society’s involvement. Effective prevention starts with ensuring that adequate economic and social supports are in place so that families can care for their children. 99% of the work that Peel CAS does is with children, youth, and families in their own homes.
Help us provide essential items like food, diapers, clothing, and toiletries to families in times of hardship. Your support will also fund music, cooking, sports, financial literacy, and resilience-building programs that give children and youth opportunities to play, learn, belong, and stay connected. We can’t do this work alone; your generosity makes these opportunities possible.
The Spirit of Giving starts with you. It starts with an act of kindness, it starts with you taking a step forward to make a difference. Thank you for helping children, youth, and families feel supported and cared for this holiday season.
