Take part in the CWICE National Conference

The Child Welfare Immigration Centre of Excellence will be hosting a national conference this June themed Global Horizons in Child Welfare and Immigration: Bridging Borders and Building Futures.  

The discussion is expected to include a range of important topics related to the intersection of child welfare and immigration. Things like unaccompanied and separated minors, supporting refugees, international students, reunification and placements across borders, cross-sector partnerships, related research and international trends. This will be a great professional development opportunity for those who work in the immigration and settlement sector, as well as child welfare and other social service professionals.

The conference is taking place on June 12, 2024, at 8:30 am - 5 pm at the Pearson Convention Centre, located at 2638 Steeles Ave East in Brampton. Snacks and lunch are provided. The full agenda is still being finalized. For current information and to register, please visit www.cwice.ca/conference
