Today, January 20, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who dedicated his life to the fight for freedom, fairness and equality. The day celebrates King's birthday and his legacy as a leader and hero who helped change the course of racial discourse and racial justice through nonviolent activism throughout his lifetime.
Together we honour his legacy. May we never forget his wisdom that "we are tied in a single garment of destiny, caught up in an inescapable network of mutuality."
