Peel CAS has some news to share. We are joining other Children’s Aid Societies in Ontario in implementing the Child Protection Information Network and will be “live” on this new system in mid-January 2018.
What is CPIN?
CPIN is a provincial child welfare database. When fully implemented, CPIN will give our child protection workers seamless access to information across the province to help keep children safe.
What are its benefits?
All CASs will have access to the same information, allowing us to make the best decisions for each child; the network supports timely and efficient service for kids in need of protection and their families.
This is a major change for Ontario’s child welfare system and our agency. When we go live in January, our response time may be slower. We ask our community partners and the public for your patience.
