Volunteer Drive Dispatcher
(10 Month Contract)The Volunteer Drive Dispatcher is responsible for the coordination of volunteer drive requests in a timely and efficient manner. This position includes ongoing support and evaluation of volunteer drivers.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordination of drive requests from agency staff arranging for volunteers, confirming arrangements in a timely manner, liaising with Drive Coordinator Maintaining current familiarity with relevant Society policies and procedures, related areas of volunteer coordination, community resources and other pertinent material. Providing weekend support on a rotating basisJOB SPECIFICATIONS: Excellent oral communication skills and able to pay close attention to detail Ability to coordinate multiple requests in a fast-paced office environment Strong computer skills, and the willingness to learn current and new software used by the agency General knowledge of Peel Childrens Aid and volunteer practices and issues Ability to work as a member of a dynamic team
Post secondary education At least two to three years previous experience in a high volume telephone dispatch role, preferably dealing with volunteers. HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week Involves weekend work on a rotating basisHourly Rate: $22.95 - $27.84 Peel Children's Aid is an equal opportunity employer.
